Linda Hudson

Linda grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and began playing the violin at the age of 10. She was a member of the Tulsa Youth Symphony for two seasons, participated in All-City Orchestra, the Messiah Orchestra, and All-State Orchestra for two years. Linda received a music scholarship to the University of Oklahoma and studied Violin, Viola, Piano, and Voice. However, after two years of study, she changed her major to English Language and Literature. Despite changing her major, she continued to play music and take violin lessons.

After receiving several scholarships from the University of Tulsa, Linda moved home to complete her education. Additionally, she was selected to be a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the English Department to finish her graduate programs. During the summers, she was a Graduate Assistant for Dr. Joseph Rivers, former head of the Piano Department. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English, Master of Arts in English, and her PhD from the University of Tulsa.

After moving to Dallas for work, Linda studied violin with Malvena Kessleman and Diana Neretina. Linda also played with several local orchestras, including the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving, under the direction of Maestro Richard Giangiulio. In her spare time, she also played with a local String Quartet and taught beginning and intermediate string students.

Linda currently teaches members of the string family, including Violin, Viola, and Cello.
