Upgrade, Exchange, Return an Instrument

Did you know that a portion of what you’ve done on your Lease to Own or String Rental Agreement can be applied to one of our First Chair or Virtuoso level instruments? First Chair and Virtuoso level instruments aren’t just for looks either. More silver content in a flute and french keys can give you a better tone, more volume headroom, and help you control your intonation more precisely. Wooden clarinets will have a warmer and richer tone and may come with some extras like silver plated keys for a grippier feel or even an auxiliary E-flat lever. Step-up trumpets feature one-piece hand hammered bells, lighter alloys and less bracing that can result in better tone, more projection, faster keys, and smoother tuning slides. Trombones will have an F-Attachment to make going from 1st position to 6th as easy as pullilng a thumb trigger and increase the lower range of your instrumen. Larger bore sizes will increase your dynamic headroom and give you more power and projection. If your string player is ready for a 4/4 violin or cello, or 15.5″+ viola, we have some lovely Virtuoso level instruments available for Lease to Own from quality makers like Eastman, Amati’s Fine Instruments and Scherl & Roth. These instruments are made with finer woods that have been aged longer, with warmer sounding strings and fewer fine-tuners to maximize your string to body vibration transfer. That’s why we’ve built in some flexability to our Agreements. Some of you flute and clarinet players will have a chance to move to saxophone this year, and up to 12 months worth of what you’ve paid toward that first instrument can apply to the purchase or Lease to Own of that new saxophone. If your student is a string player and they’re ready for an instrument that is a little bigger but not full size, just come in to your local store and it’s an easy exchange.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”RETURNS”][vc_separator color=”black”][vc_column_text]At Saied Music Company, our primary mission is to create more musicians. There are far more people in the world that play music to relax or simply because it’s fun than there are people who have made a career from it. Before returning a rental instrument, find out why your student doesn’t want to play any more. If it’s a conflict with their schedule or current teacher, there will be other teachers in the future. Maybe consider private lessons in the meantime to get a new perspective on playing. If they don’t like the instrument they are playing, talk with the music teacher about switching instruments. Losing a clarinet or cello player to the trumpet or violin section is always more preferable than losing the student completely. If they just aren’t into the school music thing, talk to them about playing something else. School music isn’t for everyone, but playing music certainly can be. Also, keep in mind that, while renting, you are accruing equity toward purchasing your band or orchestra instrument, so make sure to hold onto your rental over the summer if your student is planning to continue playing. Once you return the rental, any equity you’ve accumulated will be lost. If you have decided to return the instrument, we make the process simple.
