Rick Ghinelli, draws from his rich experience as band director, principal, fine arts admin, and president of TMAA to share practical strategies and real-world advice for students about to enter the trenches. Rick was honored in 2019 with the Lifetime Administrator Achievement Award from Texas Bandmasters Assoc. He currently serves as the SW Regional Education Support Manager in the Division of Education for Conn-Selmer

Chris Barber, is the Director of Fine Arts for Owasso Public schools, where he served as a band director and percussion coordinator from 1996 to 2017. He has conducted 7th grade bands, high school concert bands, the 6th and 7th grade percussion classes, The Pride of Owasso, the Owasso Drum Line, and Steel Drum Bands. Chris will discuss how to approach interviewing for your first teaching job, including things you may not have thought of!
